If you haven't heard of Ameca yet, you are in for a real surprise! Ameca is a robot that makes insanely human-like facial expression. It was recently at the CES trade show in Las Vegas doing a demonstration when one guy decided to try and hit on her...and it did not end as expected for him.
The company behind Ameca, Engineered Arts, claims she is “the perfect humanoid robot platform for human-robot interaction.” Ameca has a fully articulated and human-like head, face, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands, and obviously, some sarcasm and quick wit programmed as well.
During her meet and greet at the CES trade show, a woman was filming Ameca and was elated that the robot recognized that she was wearing bunny ears. But it was when a man jumped in and asked Ameca, “Do you have a boyfriend?”
“I do not have a boyfriend,” Ameca responded. “Are you asking for a friend?”
She continues to savagely match wit with the man, impressing the entire audience and internet.
