Disney Finally Revealed 'Splash Mountain's' New Name

Two years ago it was announced that the infamous Splash Mountain ride at Disneyland and Disney World would undergo reconstruction and be revamped into something that doesn't carry racists connotations. As you may know, Splash Mountain has ties 1946 film Song of the South which is a racist musical, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Now a new attraction has been built and is centered around Princess Tiana from 'The Princess and the Frog', and they're calling it Tiana's Bayou Adventure! The ride is set to open at both Disney locations in 2024.

"In many ways, Tiana's Bayou Adventure is a love letter to New Orleans. Like the musical city that inspired this attraction, Tiana's second act is about a community working in harmony to achieve something extraordinary. She reminds us of an immutable truth we can all relate to: 'If you do your best each and every day, good things are sure to come your way.' And that's a melody we can all sing along to!" said Charita Carter, the executive producer of relevancy activations at Walt Disney Imagineering, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Are we feeling the new name?
