iHeartRadio's just-released rankings of 2022's most listened-to music and most popular artists are here and the artists topping the charts may not come as a surprise to you as they've dominated the industry and the airwaves this year.

Doja Cat is at the top of the list of the most popular artists in America in 2022, with more than 3.6 billion listeners.

The top 5 include Doja Cat, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, and Harry Styles.

Harry Styles had more than 2.2 billion listeners and had the second-biggest song overall with “As It Was,” and his hit “Late Night Talking” also made the cut for the top 10 songs of the year.

More than 1.2 billion people in the United States heard The Kid Laroi & Justin Bieber's number one hit, "Stay."

Second to “Stay” is Glass Animals with “Heat Waves” which also tops iHeart's top alternative songs.

Drake was victorious as iHeart's top hip-hop artist and is ranked as their top 10th overall artist, with a more-than-1.3-billion reach.

According to InsiderRadio, "iHeart bases its total audience spins calculation on certified Mediabase airplay, multiplied by the number of persons listening to radio at the time of those plays to deliver total audience impressions, which is the broadcast equivalent of the number of streams from a streaming music service."
