A school swim in Lake County, Florida showed up for team practice but the students discovered the pool was already occupied...by an alligator.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office posted on their Facebook that deputies responded to a call from Montverde Academy after reports that an alligator crashed the swim team practice.
Deputies were able to use a safety hook to wrangle the 3-foot gator to the edge of the pool, where it was captured by another deputy.
The gator's mouth was secured with electrical tape and taken to Lake Apopka, where the tape was removed and "the gator was released on its own recognizance."
Fortunately, no humans or alligators were injured during the incident.
