Nothing worse than making a fresh batch of weed brownies only to have your mom take them and give them out to some ungrateful senior citizens. This is what happened to 46-year-old South Dakota elementary school music teacher Michael Koranda.
Michael recently went to Colorado and came back with a hefty helping of THC butter. So before bed one evening he made himself a batch of brownies with HALF-A-POUND of butter in them. For those of you that don't smoke or eat edibles let me put it this way. IT'S A LOT!
Koranda's mom was up early and saw the batch of brownies and thought she hit the jackpot. "Free brownies for me and the squad" she must have thought to herself. I mean, who doesn't love brownies? So his sweet little 73-year-old mom takes the brownies to a local senior center for her weekly card game. Little did she know these brownies had enough THC to get Snoop Dogg high.
So she gave them out to the crew and they all got baked. 911 started getting calls around 8:00 pm with people claiming they were poisoned. Nope, just really really high.
And since weed is still illegal in South Dakota, Michael was arrested all because him mom took things without asking first.
