Palm Beach County School District Police have confirmed a police-involved shooting led to a large police presence and a lockdown at Suncoast Community High School Monday morning.

Riviera Beach Police had earlier said they were conducting a "massive investigation" and were handing over the case to the school district.

A statement from the school police department says that "during school arrival, there was a shooting involving an unknown adult male in the parking lot" of the school. No students or school staff were harmed.

Several schools nearby had also been limiting movement on campus, including three elementary schools, but they are now all clear.

As of Noon, there is still a law enforcement presence at Suncoast. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Riviera Beach Police and School District Police are all investigating.

Meanwhile, classes are underway on campus.
