Miami-Dade's Curfew Is Once Again Enforceable

Mayor Carlos Gimenez says the curfew will go back into effect Wednesday evening.

After a curfew-less weekend, Miami-Dade County will once again be able to enforce its original midnight curfew.

According the Mayor Carlos Gimenez an appellate court has now allowed the county to enforce its curfew starting Wednesday until its appeal against a recent injunction on the emergency orders is decided.

The county's current court battle comes as a result of a lawsuit from Tootsie's that sued the county over its 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, arguing it prevented its workers from making a living.
