Miami-Dade County has implemented a safer-at-home order shortly after Broward County announced theirs.
Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez signed the Safer-at-home order on Thursday urging residents to stay in their homes unless they are essential personal that needs to go to work or if they need to leave their residence for essential activities.
The order goes into effect immediately and will last until the State of Emergency has ended in the county.
