Stoneman Douglas High School Shooter Booked At Broward County Jail

There are no words strong enough to describe the sadness and pain in all of us this morning. Our hearts are heavy and everyone is hugging their loved ones a little tighter. Yesterday, Nikolas Cruz pulled the fire alarm at a local high school & opened fired with an AR-15–style rifle. 17 innocent victims lost their lives and 14 more were injured.

During this horrific moment, teachers at Stoneman Douglas High School attempted to keep students calm and protect them. Students ducked downed in classrooms and hid in dark rooms from the shooter.

 


Nikolas was expelled from Stoneman Douglas High School but on Valentine's Day morning he took an Uber to the campus. After the shooting, he was captured by police in Coral Springs.



This morning he was booked into Broward County Jail and charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder 



Yesterday's shooting is the nation's deadliest school shooting since a gunman attacked Sandy Hook Elementary school five years ago.
