A volunteer at Carole Baskin's "Big Cat Rescue"sanctuary, featured in the series "Tiger King", suffered a serious injury while feeding one of the tigers.
A female volunteer at the sanctuary was grabbed by "Kimba", a tiger who she was about to feed.
The volunteer was reaching her arm into the tiger's cage when she was bitten and seriously injured.
"It is against our protocols for anyone to stick any part of their body into a cage with a cat in it. Kimba grabbed her arm and nearly tore it off at the shoulder".
The volunteer was still conscious on the way to the hospital and didn't want Kimba to be punished for the mistake. Kimba the Tiger will be quarantined for the next 30 days as a precaution.
