Due to the pandemic more and more retail locations are opting to be closed on Thanksgiving.
For a few years now stores like Costco, Home Depot, Nordstrom, Publix, Trader Joe’s , Sam's Club and others have closed on Thanksgiving.
This year Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond, and other major retailers announced their decision to also close on Thanksgiving Day.
Macy’s announced way out in September that it will close on Thanksgiving as well.
Many of these locations are also rewarding their employees that have been working tirelessly throughout the whole pandemic by letting spend their holiday at home with their loved ones.
Even though a large majority of stores plan to be closed there will be a few open incase you do need something like Whole Foods, Dollar General and Kroger.
