Broward County is expected to announce the closure of their beaches for the July 4th holiday weekend.
Although an official statement has't' been made, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel is reporting that Broward Mayor Dale V.C. Holness is confirming Broward County’s beaches will be closed for the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend.
They will be joining Miami-Dade in shutting down beaches for the holiday weekend after Mayor Carlos Giminez signed an emergency order on Friday to closing beaches starting Friday, July 3, and ending Tuesday, July 7.
It has also been rumored that beaches in Miami-Dade my stay closed for a while after July 7th as a result of the recently daily record high in new COVID cases across Florida.
