Marijuana-infused beer is a popular idea among pot enthusiasts and it may soon hop onto store shelves in Canada.

Recreational marijuana will be officially legal country-wide later this year in Canada.  So, the Molson Coors Brewing Company is looking ahead and working with weed companies to create a weed-infused beer.

Some believe more people are turning to cannabis consumption over alcohol and beer sales are starting to see a decline in areas where marijuana is legalized.

The idea to create a special brew that mixes the best of both worlds might stop the company's beer sales from declining further.

The Molson Coors Brewing Company isn't the first beer company attempting to make profits from pot.

Last year, Constellation Brands Inc, which handles brands like Corona, Pacifico and Ballast Point, bought a minority stake in Canopy Growth Growth.  According to the Denver Post, that's the nation's largest marijuana producer.
