Waffle House Releasing Bacon-Infused Beer

Attention bacon lovers! Waffle House is releasing its own beer. And, get this, it smells just like bacon.

Waffle House has been in business for over 60 years, and this is their first-ever beer release.

The restaurant chain collaborated with a Greensboro, Georgia brewing company, Oconee Brewing Company, to create the new brew called Bacon & Kegs! Not only does the Red Ale smell like delicious bacon, but it also offers up a 6.5% ABV.

According to an Instagram post from Oconee Brewing Company, "The beloved scent of bacon stands out from the typical medium hop aroma of a red ale. The malty sweetness of the base beer blends perfectly with the salty, savory, and smokey bacon extract to create a delicious and unique beer. Bacon & Kegs pairs well with breakfast food items (obviously!) or can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, soon to be iconic beer."

The beer will be released on Friday, December 18, and will only be available at the Greensboro brewery. If you feel like taking a drive up to Oconee Brewing Company, you'll be able to purchase the ale in a six-pack of 12-ounce cans or on draft.
