A man in China was hospitalized after his daily habit left him with a nasty fungal infection in his lungs.
Peng would smell his dirty socks every day after work. By inhaling his fungal spores found in dirty socks, he exposed himself to a serious health concern.
He went to the hospital after complaining of chest pains, tightness in his chest, and a cough. Doctors at first thought he had pneumonia, but when symptoms persisted doctors re-questioned him and he admitted he was "addicted to smelling the socks that he had been wearing".
Seriously though, how does one even become addicted to that? Do they have rehab for this kind of problem?
