Volunteer of the Week - Joe Kish

VOTW Joe Kish

Joe Kish volunteers each Wednesday in Ms. Yates’ third-grade class at South Olive Elementary and is adored by the students.  He works with them on reading skills.  He motivates all students to know that they can accomplish anything if they try.

Mr. Kish even comes on other days because students ask him to see projects or attend events.

One student said that Mr. Kish even made them a clay dinosaur that says, “Love to Read”.  Students say that Wednesday is one of their favorite days because Mr. Kish will be there.

Hat’s off to Joe Kish for creating excitement in the classroom.

If you have a spare hour or two, why not volunteer at a Palm Beach County public school? Volunteers come from all age groups, economic backgrounds, and educational levels.  Simply go to a neighborhood school or contact the School District’s Volunteer Coordinator, Debi Elfen at (561) 434-8789.  Help a student and school. It's a great way to support our communities and our world.
