Volunteer of the Week - Gerre Wood

VOTW Gerre Wood

Gerre Wood was employed by the School District until 10 years ago when she retired.

Soon thereafter, Gerre was approached by the new media specialist at Roosevelt Elementary for help and she has not stopped!

Gerre works in the library, runs the book fair, serves on the SAC (Sack) committee, and works tirelessly on almost every event at the school.

Gerre gives the school an average of over 50 hours PER WEEK!

Gerre Wood, you are one of Roosevelt Elementary’s best treasures!

If you have a spare hour or two, why not volunteer at a Palm Beach County public school? Volunteers come from all age groups, economic backgrounds, and educational levels.  Simply go to a neighborhood school or contact the School District’s Volunteer Coordinator, Debi Elfen at (561) 434-8789.  Help a student and school. It's a great way to support our communities and our world.
