If Warped Tour is a lifestyle, then Orlando this year was the kind of glorious chaos that reminds you exactly why you bought the studded belt with the seatbelt buckle in the first place. From the moment I walked through the gates, the air felt electric—equal parts sunscreen, Four Lokos, and nostalgia.

One of the biggest highlights for me was interviewing Boys Like Girls for the second time in my radio career. Honestly, I’m not sure which was louder—their crowd or my internal screaming. As always, these guys are warm, funny, and exactly the right amount of effortlessly cool that makes you think, 'Yep, this is why we all fell in love with pop-rock in the mid-2000s.' Talking with them felt like time-travelling back to an era of swoopy hair and MySpace top eights, but with waaaaay better sound quality. And most memorably, it felt like talking with friends. Greg, you are not only a great friend, but an inspirational talent (and I'm sorry we didn't play that prank on Martin).

I also got the pleasure of seeing my own flesh and blood CRUSH the stage on Saturday. My cousin JP "Rook" Cappelletty of MGK left his heart out there (and a lot of sweat) as he not only performed in front of the thousands of screaming fans, but besides myself, my Husband Taylor, Brother-in-Law Blake, Brother JJ, Uncle JD, Aunt Christah and friends.

Outside of those dream moments, the rest of the weekend was a blur of mosh pits, surprise guest vocals, and very sweaty, very emotional screaming. I met fans who had driven for hours, kids experiencing their first Warped ever, and seasoned veterans who knew exactly where the shade pockets were (bless them). But the true magic? It was in those collective, unfiltered moments—belting lyrics with total strangers, watching bands command the crowd like rock sorcerers, and feeling that rush in your chest when the beat drops.
Warped Tour Orlando wasn’t just a show; it was a reminder that music scenes grow, evolve, and reinvent themselves—but that feeling of belonging in a sea of loud, sweaty, wonderful weirdos? That will never change. And I will absolutely be back for seconds next year at Camping World Stadium. Get your passes NOW! & all the info at vanswarpedtourorlando.com
