Everyone calm down. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has reassured the public that the Joker is not on the loose.
Residents in Missouri received an alert from the highway patrol warning citizens of "Gotham City" to be looking out for a purple and green 1978 Dodge 3700 GT with the license plate number "UKIDME". Odd how that's the description that matches the car used by Jack Nicholson as the Joker in the 1989 Batman movie.
Fortunately, the law enforcement agency cleared things up in a Twitter post that the villain is not on the loose in Missouri, and Missouri does not have a town called "Gotham City."
"This was meant to be a test message, THERE WAS NO ALERT," the highway patrol corrected in a tweet. Missouri State Highway Patrol said the message was posted in error and was simply meant to be "a routine test of Missouri's Blue Alert system."
