89th concert of 2018 #Kelsi100Concerts
100 concerts in one year...the challenge is on! If you have no idea WTF I'm talking about, click here for the full scoop. Ironically, this was my first time dressing up at a concert. Sure I have put on some weird stuff at raves and had a crazy outfit, but for Moonfest everyone had a costume on. Zombies, super heroes and a bunch of random creatures danced the night away with Stray Cats' Slim Jim Phantom all night.
I know, I always go to close to the stage and the sound quality on my phone sucks. What can I say I love to be so close to the stage that you can feel the bass in your chest and see the sweat roll off the bands face. If you don't know who Slim Jim Phantom is, he's the drummer from Stray Cats. They were a big band back in the 80s. Their song "Rock This Town," is credited by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the songs that actually shaped rock and roll music.
It was definitely a flash back kind of night! Next up was Bow Wow Wow. No not the rapper Bow Wow but an English new wave band from back in the 80's. Once again, I apologize for being so close to the stage! I promised Annabella sounded much better live.
If you ever have a chance to dress up at a show do it! Trust me it's way more fun and you're bound to dance with some random character. Below are some photos I took of Stray Cats' Slim Jim Phantom and Bow Wow Wow at Moonfest in West Palm Beach.
Check back and stalk this blog for a year of music and good stories. Remember, I have to average about 2-3 shows a week. You can follow all of my adventures on Instagram & Twitter @KelsiRadio! Well, until next concert.....
