100 Concerts In One Year #69 Vans Warped Tour

69th concert of 2018 #Kelsi100Concerts

100 concerts in one year...the challenge is on! If you have no idea WTF I'm talking about, click here for the full scoop. It feels so strange to write this. How could Warped Tour be over? Since 1995 this tour has stopped all over the country with tons of bands and is the longest running tour in North America. For the last 23 years, it was a Summer tradition to head to Coral Sky and catch as many bands as possible. This time it was extra special, like everyone knew this was it and made the most of the final Warped Tour. Alright, enough with the feels lets get to the magic that actually went down. The first band I caught was Simple Plan and they had a sign language interpreter on stage with them! How freaking cool is that?

If you strayed away from the main stage then you are a true festival warrior! The smaller stages are were it's at. People bonding over moshing, crowd surfing and their favorite songs. Now believe it or not mosh pits are extremely organized and are not as violent as they appear. There are rules in the pit and safety is a big priority. It was actually adorable how quickly people were getting picked up yesterday. Before you would even hit the ground, 10 people would be grabbing you to help you back up. If you have ever wondered what it's like to be in the thick of a Senses Fail crowd when you're 5'1 here ya go.....

Yessss! Seeing Reel Big Fish made my heart so happy. I love this style of music and they were the band I wanted to see the most at Vans Warped Tour. Shout out to the dude who tossed up his beer during this song. It made the moment even more perfect. If you stayed at Vans Warped Tour all day props to you! The sun was blazing and I could feel my skin just baking during their set. Sweat poured down all of our faces, soaked our clothes and the place stunk like body odor. The entire place smelled liked beer, sweat, grass and a little pot...you know like Warped Tour.

What a treat it was to have the very last  stop of the Vans Warped Tour right here in our hometown. Over 19,000 people got together for the final moments of the tour and we were all a part of music history. Below are some photos I took during the concert at Coral Sky! Farewell, Vans Warped Tour thank you for the experiences I would have never had, the memories I will never forget and for getting some of the best bands together for over two decades. You will be missed.....

Check back and stalk this blog for a year of music and good stories. Remember, I have to average about 2-3 shows a week. You can follow all of my adventures on Instagram & Twitter @KelsiRadio! Well, until next concert.....
