Woman Leaves Newborn With Stranger At Disney World

Walt Disney World

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, an Orlando woman left her newborn baby with a complete stranger in the middle of the night on Sunday.

The incident happened at Walt Disney World around 2:00 am. The baby was handed over to a guest outside of the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

The guest was staying at the lodge and immediately went inside and told staff the baby was just handed to her. Thankfully, the baby is in good health after a visit to Celebration Hospital in the area.

Deputies were able to find the newborn's mother who abandoned the child and she is currently at a facility for treatment. The Florida Department of Children and Families has been notified.
