Marvel Studios announced the renamed Black Panther sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be out in theaters July 8, 2022.

Fans have been anxious for this sequel since the shocking death of Chadwick Boseman. The role of T'Challa is not being recast but we'll hopefully see who ascends as the new Black Panther next summer.

Ryan Coogler is back to direct and write the sequel, and Letitia Wright (Shuri), Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Winston Duke (M'Baku) and Angela Bassett (Ramonda) are all expected to return, too.
