Did you know North Florida is considered a part of the Bible Belt?
If you don’t know, the Bible Belt is the area of the U.S. where Christian values play a huge part in the state's societies, culture, and politics.
Recently, the nonprofit tech company Smilehub posted a rankings list of the most religious states in the U.S.
Florida ranked in the top 20 most religious states in the U.S. on this list.
There’s a saying about Florida that says “the further north you go, the more south you get.” That means northern Florida is much more culturally southern than south Florida.
To find the rankings for the most religious states in the country, Smilehub compared each state across 11 metrics in 3 categories: religious interest and places of worship, religious education and careers, and religion-affiliated organizations.
