A beloved holiday classic treat is getting a unique new twist. Would you try making eggnog with mayo?

The people over at Hellmann's and Best Foods mayonnaise want you to try mixing it into your eggnog this year for a new twist they say is better than the traditional recipe.

Why? They say that eggs are typically the third ingredient in mayo and it works even better than using the traditional egg yolks.

A bar in New York called Amy Fontaine's is selling a blended version called "Frozen Mayo-Nog" on December 15th.

For us non-New Yorkers, they posted the recipe, so you can make an at-home version!

Each cup of eggnog calls for 4 teaspoons of mayonnaise, milk, heavy cream, simple syrup, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. And they recommend adding rum, brandy, and cognac.

For the non-drinkers, don't worry, they also provided the recipe for a non-alcoholic version, and you can find both recipes on their Instagram (below).
