Police in Florida were called to a Dollar General store but not due to shoplifting, loitering, or even a burglary, thankfully. Fortunately, the disturbance at the bargain store was due to something much cuter: a "giant dog" wandered in, hung out for a few hours, but refused to leave the store by closing time.

When a 135-pound "giant dog" wandered into a Bradenton, Florida Dollar General store, employees said they initially decided to let the pup do his thing since he wasn't disturbing any customers or causing damage to merchandise.

However, at closing time the dog had already been inside the store for several hours, so they called The Bradenton Police Department.

Bradenton Police shared footage from an officer's body camera to their Facebook page, which shows police escorting the bigger-than-average pet out of the store.

Police explained in the caption that eventually, they were able to reunite the pet with his owner, who identified the dog as Bentley.

"Bentley's dad realized he was missing and was grateful that the store, and officers, looked after him," according to the post.
