We promise this is not the plot of a movie, this actually happened in South Florida.

One passenger of a small private plane in Florida heroically took over flying the plane, even with zero experience, and miraculously landed safely in West Palm Beach after the pilot became incapacitated due to a medical emergency.

On Tuesday afternoon (5/10/22) a single-engine Cessna plane was flying over the West Palm Beach area.

According to a report by WTVJ-TV, all was normal with the flight until a male passenger told ground controllers via the radio that his pilot was experiencing a medical emergency.

The man said, "My pilot has gone incoherent. I have no idea how to fly the airplane."

The reports indicate that the passenger and the pilot were the only two people aboard the plane.

Reportedly, a flight controller was able to talk the man through landing the plane and told him to simply, "follow the coast" to get to Palm Beach International Airport.

After the plane had successfully landed on the ground, the controller gave, "Kudos to that new pilot."

According to authorities, the plane's original pilot was taken to a local hospital for treatment, however, there are no updates regarding the details of the medical emergency.

The hero's name remains a mystery.
