A couple of pigs escaped from their backyard pen in Florida, and what ensued after that was something straight out of a sitcom. The 2 pigs lead police and neighbors on an hours-long chase throughout the neighborhood.
Residents of Lehigh Acres said the pigs escaped Tuesday morning (3/1/22) and were on the loose for over 12 hours.
It took the teamwork of Lee County Sheriff's Office deputies, neighbors and a cousin of the pigs' owner, Randy Love, to chase the pigs around the neighborhood well into the evening.
Love and one of the deputies managed to corral one of the pigs as the sun was setting, "I was about to give up. Then that pig got a little slower, and I just went for it and grabbed him," Love told news.
Apparently, at this time, the second pig was still on the loose, but Love noted that he was "confident" it, too, would be captured safely.
