A zoo in Florida shared a video of a crocodilian attempting to escape by breaking through the back window of a van during transport and attempting to flee down the road.
The St. Augustine Alligator Farm explained in their Facebook post (below) that the animal was being transported to another area of the zoo alongside other crocodilians when the massive reptile broke the back window of the van as it was driving and began to flee down Anastasia Boulevard in St. Augustine.
"Our crew acted quickly to recapture it, and deliver it safely to its new habitat," the zoo said in a Facebook post. "At no time was there any real danger as the animal's mouth was secured."
The reason I keep saying "crocodilian" is because it's unclear whether the crocodilian that escaped from the van was an alligator or a crocodile. Either way, it could have been terrifying for a pedestrian in the area.
