A 25-year-old Australian man has been dubbed “Man of the Year” after he supported his Tinder date as she gave birth!
20-year-old Alyssa Hodges and 25-year-old Max Silvy were only on their 4th date when Alyssa went into labor.
“Max travels a lot for work so we’d only seen each other three times before he ended up coming to my birth," Alyssa explained.
Alyssa was 8 months pregnant and headed to pick Max up from the airport when her water broke and was forced to meet him at the hospital instead, where she gave birth to a healthy baby boy with Max by her side.
“I was about six and a half months pregnant when I went on Tinder, and I clearly stated that on my bio,” said Alyssa.
“I didn’t want to lead anyone on, so I was being open and honest. I wanted them to know what they were getting into right off the bat."
To help Alyssa get on her feet after giving birth, Max even took a week off of work to be with her. They’re now planning to move in together.
“On TikTok, everybody is asking if Max has a brother, calling him ‘man of the year’ and saying we were the cutest little family,” she said.
Max shared that there was initial concern from his family and he would never normally date a pregnant woman, but there was just something "different" about Alyssa.
And hopefully, they live happily ever after.
