A Florida man riding a go-kart on the streets of Fort Pierce was busted with a gun and a big bag of cocaine.
21-year-old Miguel Angel Sanchez was caught illegally driving a go-kart late Monday by a deputy, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.
“When the deputies tried to stop Mr. Sanchez, the game was on,” the department officials said in a playful statement. “Sanchez threw a backpack from his racer, bent a few corners and then ditched the cart, running away on foot.”
It didn't take long for deputies to corner Sanchez, along with the backpack, which contained a handgun and 15 grams of cocaine.
According to a statement from the Fort Pierce police department, “Last night, while most people were playing Mario Kart on their Nintendo, 21-year-old Miguel Angel Sanchez decided he would take the game to the streets of Fort Pierce. Oh, did we mention it’s illegal to burn rubber on a public street in a go-cart?”
