There's zero tolerance for illegal street takeovers during any "wheels up, guns down" rides this Martin Luther King Day weekend. Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz says in 2024, more than 150 people were arrested, over 600 citations issued and about 80 vehicles impounded over the holiday weekend. State law says anyone involved in a street takeover with ten or more motorcycles or ATVs will face a felony and fines up to 4-thousand-dollars. Off-road vehicles are prohibited on streets, highways and public roads.
