Jhené Aiko is the latest celebrity impacted by the raging wildfires in Los Angeles.

In a heartbreaking message she shared on Thursday, January 9, the South L.A. native revealed she lost her home in the ongoing fires that have devastated Los Angeles County. She offered prayers to everyone affected by the fast-spreading flames before she spoke up about her unfortunate situation. Aiko said she lost everything she and her family owned in the fire, but thankfully everyone is ok.

"Me and my children's home is gone," she wrote with a heartbreak emoji. "burned to the ground with all of our things inside.

"Thankful we still have each other ❤ starting from scratch," she continued. "My heart is so heavy 💔"

Jhené Aiko bought her mansion in the Pacific Palisades in 2023. She's one of several celebrities who have lost their homes in the fires this week. Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles recently took to Instagram and mourned the loss of her bungalow in Malibu. Other celebrities like Mandy Moore and Paris Hilton also watched as their home was set ablaze during the wildfires.

Aiko said she'd have to start from scratch, which prompted criticism from a few trolls. In the comment section of a post on The Shade Room, the singer reminded people this isn't her first fire. Her family's home in South Los Angeles burned down when she was seven.

"The fact that some of you think I have Paris Hilton money is wild," she began. "I don't got it like that, but I do have a big, loving family that is worth more than anything. When I was in the 2nd grade, our home burned down with everything in it. I never understood why some of the kids at school were so mean about it, because they thought we were rich when we weren't. But they thought we were rich because we had!!"

"My family and our friend came together and made sure my mom and me and my siblings had at least 1 new sweat suit and 1 pair of shoes the next day," she continued. "I am fortunate enough to be in a better situation than back then. And I pray I can have as much gracve as my mother did during that time. I work very hard for my family. I pray that you all stay safe."
