Liam Payne Laid To Rest Surrounded By Family & One Direction Bandmates

Liam Payne has finally been laid to rest. One month after the former One Direction singer passed away in Argentina, his family and close friends gathered to say their goodbyes.

Taking place on Wednesday, November 20th in the Home Counties (the counties of England that surround London), the emotional and intimate service took place at St. Mary's Church in Amersham, according to TMZ. Payne was brought to the church in a horse-drawn carriage with flower arrangements that said "Son" and "Daddy."

Liam's family, including his parents Geoff and Karen, were in attendance as they watched their son's coffin be carried into the church. All four of Payne's One Direction bandmates also came to honor Liam, including Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik. The guys arrived separately, dressed in black as they headed into the emotional day.

Also in attendance was Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, who was with him in Argentina just days before his passing. Additionally, Simon Cowell and James Corden showed up to pay their respects. Cheryl Cole, with whom Liam shares a son with, also attended the service to say her goodbyes.

Payne was found dead at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina after falling from the balcony of his third floor room into the courtyard. Liam was just 31 years old, and leaves behind his seven-year-old son Bear, who he shares with ex Cheryl Cole.

Following his death, tributes from family and friends came pouring in, with his family sharing in a statement, "We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul."
