One-Million Property Insurance Claims Expected To Be Filed In Milton's Wake

Hurricane Milton nailing Florida during its on-going property insurance crisis. Florida Policy Project Manager Jeff Brandes says the storm is expected to cost some 40-billion-dollars in insurance claims. He says Milton is a significant event and will put pressure on companies to dig into their catastrophe funds, but it will not bankrupt any businesses. If anything, he thinks it will put pressure on companies to hold rates steady next year. Floridians pay four times the national average for property insurance.
