Last Friday (7/21/23) was National Junk Food Day, and whether they realized it or not, all 50 states participated in the celebration.
If you've always wondered what America's go-to junk foods are, look no further, because a website called Casinos.com used Google Trends data to determine the "Top 3 Junk Foods" in every state
Overall, Starburst got the most love, followed by Pringles, Sour Patch Kids, and Skittles.
Sour Patch Kids came in at #1 in most states, with it topping the chart for 7 states each including, Arizona, California, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, and North Carolina.
Next were Animal Crackers and Kit-Kat bars, which were #1 in 5 states each.
There were some unique #1s however, Fruit Roll-Ups are #1 in Alaska and Louisiana. Beef Jerky is #1 in New Mexico and Funyuns take the top spot in Texas.
Surprisingly enough, Oreos underperformed with Iowa as the only state in its favor.
