Wiz Khalifa, Jason Derulo & Others Portray Their Idols In 'Spinning Gold'

Wiz Khalifa, Jason Derulo and other artists have joined forces to transform into some of the most iconic names who created timeless hits with esteemed music producer Neil Bogart.

On Friday, March 31, Hero Entertainment's Spinning Gold, the film that tells some of the most momentous moments in Bogart's life and career, hit theaters everywhere. Written, produced and directed by Bogart's son Timothy Scott Bogart, the film follows the journey of his father, who founded Casablanca Records, as he makes music with some of the most legendary acts to ever hit the mic. Jeremy Jordan takes on the role of Bogart while other award-winning musicians embody their idols during the prime of their careers.

Wiz Khalifa portrays the great George Clinton while Jason Derulo transforms into Ron Isley of The Isley Brothers. Meanwhile, rising star Pink Sweat$ plays Bill Withers, singer Tayla Parx stars as Donna Summer and multi-Grammy winner Ledisi becomes Gladys Knight. The film also includes Michelle Monaghan, Jay Pharoah, Michael Ian Black, Dan Folger, and Casey Likes as Gene Simmons of KISS. Not only do these accomplished artists embody the likeness of their legendary characters on the big screen, but they also come together for the official soundtrack.

The 19-track OST from Atlantic Records features covers of classic hit songs like "Ain't No Sunshine," "Bad Girls," "Midnight Train to Georgia," "Give Up the Funk & Beth" and more. In addition to containing all of the music from the film, the soundtrack also features two original songs penned by Evan “Kidd” Bogart, who co-wrote/produced the project and serves as executive music producer of the film with Harvey Mason Jr.

Spinning Gold and its accompanying soundtrack are both out now.
