Most people's nightmares when they order food to be delivered include the delivery driver tampering with their food in some way, but have you ever thought they might take something else while visiting your home?
According to Polk County Sheriff’s officials, a Florida Door Dash driver was caught red-handed on home surveillance video dropping off an order and then stealing a package that was near the door.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office revealed the delivering thief caught on camera on August 21, was Moises Rios Avila.
The video clearly shows Avila deliver a bag of food, notice the package, and pick it up. While carrying the package, he begins to walk normally toward his car, but then looks back at the camera and begins running back to his vehicle.
Deputies eventually caught up with Avila who claimed it was all a “prank.” Nevertheless, Avila was arrested on charges of burglary and petit theft.
It has not been revealed what the contents of the package were, but for karma purposes, I hope it was a box od adult diapers or some rash cream, something really worth stealing.
