Lisa Kudrow Says Scenes From 'Friends' Reunion Have Already Been Pre-Shot

After months of delays due to the ongoing pandemic, fans are still waiting for the highly anticipated Friends reunion. The special, which will reunite original cast members Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc, is set to air on HBO MAX. Little else is known about the reunion.

During an appearance on Literally! with Rob Lowe, Kudrow shared an exciting update about the reunion. She told host Rob Lowe that she and her costars have already filmed a number of scenes for the special. "There's different facets to it, and we already shot packages of things," she explained. "I pre-shot something already so we're definitely doing it, because I already shot a little something."

Kudrow also took a moment to clarify the difference between a reunion special and a reboot. "It's not a reboot," she said. "It's not like a scripted thing, we're not portraying our characters. It's us getting together, which just doesn't happen a lot and has never happened in front of other people since 2004 when we stopped. I think it'll be great."

According to Kudrow, the reunion will tape on the NBC comedy's original soundstage in front of a live audience in early spring. Hopefully, the special will air on HBO Max shortly after that.
