“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” is the latest sitcom to get the reboot treatment, but as a drama, not a comedy.
When I first heard The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was getting rebooted I rolled my eyes. Then I watched the trailer and now I need to binge this ASAP!
Last year director Morgan Cooper reimagined the comedy as a modern-day drama and Will Smith loved the idea.
So much so that Smith is working with Cooper and the original series producers to make that reimagined idea an actual TV show!
“Bel-Air” is currently being shopped around to various streaming platforms such as Netflix, HBO MAX and Peacock with the backing of Smith’s Westbrook Studios.
