Joe Biden officially announced Sen. Kamala Harris will be his vice presidential running mate.
The former 2020 campaign rival has a background as a prosecutor and will become the nation’s first Black woman vice president should Joe Biden win the 2020 election.
In a tweet Biden wrote,
“I need someone working alongside me who is smart, tough, and ready to lead. Kamala is that person,”
