Growing up in NYC I always heard the rumors that we were terrible careless people who wouldn't spit on you if you were dying of thirst. I'm here to say, that's not true. Sure, they're are bad apples even in the Big Apple, but in times of tragedy no city comes together like NY. 9/11 was the ultimate example of that. So to see all these strangers come together to save a person in need is the NY I know and and love.
