Peloton Sends Internet Into Frenzy Over Christmas Bike Ad

Here we are, it's the year 2019 and it's official, we've become a society that overacts about legit everything. Step on up Peloton, it's time to be bashed on Twitter because a handful of people are offended over your Christmas ad. People who most likely would never buy your product anyway. However, that doesn't stop people from jumping on the outrage train.

I've seen things like "this ad is sexiest" or "she's already fit, why does she need a bike?" and even "maybe have real costumers use this bike and not some model". First, people in shape usually work out. Believe it or not working out is one of the leading causes of getting in shape. Secondly, if it was a bigger woman in this commercial and the husband goes "Merry Christmas chubby, here's a bike for you to lose weight and make sure you iron my clothes before we head to my mother's for dinner." Then I'd be like "okay, that's a bit much Peloton" and I would take my battle fingers and angrily tweet. Kidding, I'm the kind of person who doesn't need a safe space and if I find something I feel is in poor taste I just don't buy that companies product. It's actually amazing and not everyone knows this, but you don't have to comment on everything you see on the internet.

Now do I think this commercial is amazing? No, it's kinda of weird and everyone knows in shape or not anyone with a stationary bike at home ends up just piling clothes on top of it. That's just how life works. I did laugh out loud when she goes " first ride, I'm a little nervous but excited" Ummm what? What are you nervous about, you're riding in place and not jumping on a motorcycle trying to jump the Grand Canyon.

Let me know if I'm off base here and out of touch with reality. I just feel we have so much bigger problems than this Peloton ad. We should really be focusing our energy on every single Christmas Car Commercial! Where the hell do you get one of those giant red bows? Do they give them out when you're wealthy and buy his and her $80k cars? Twitter use your powers for good for once and let me know!
