Meghan Markle Secretly Brought Archie To America In September

The Duke & Duchess Of Sussex Visit South Africa

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are preparing for a six week sabbatical from royal duties over the holidays. While there were rumors the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to bring baby Archie to United States for the first time over Thanksgiving, it turns out Archie has already made a trip across the pond with his mom.

According to Meghan's BFF Serena Williams, Archie traveled to New York City with Meghan back in September. The Duchess made the trip to the Big Apple to watch the tennis champ compete in the U.S. Open final. While it was initially reported Meghan traveled solo, leaving Archie at home with his dad, Serena said the royal tot was in tow for Meghan's quick trip during a recent interview.

While chatting with Access Hollywood, Serena praised Meghan for being such a devoted friend. She cited Meghan's super quick international trip as one of the many reasons Meghan is an amazing bestie. “I just really think she’s the strongest — literally the strongest — person I know and the nicest [and] sweetest,” Serena said of the Duchess. “She flew all the way with a newborn to see me play in New York and flew all the way back that night, and I probably couldn’t have done that."

Traveling to New York City from London and back again in one day with a four month old baby is definitely a herculean mom task, which is definitely not lost on Serena. She said what Meghan did to be there for her "kinda goes to show you what an amazing person she is. And that’s just one of the many things that she does for me." Serena then listed all the ways the Duchess supports her, even with an ocean between them. “I call her, text her anytime, crying, upset — she’s always there. Doesn’t matter what she’s going through, she just sets time away, and she’s just so amazing," she said.

So, Archie may be traveling to Los Angeles to spend his first Thanksgiving with grandma Doria Ragland, however, it won't the the little tyke's first ever trip to his mom's home country. He's only six months old and he's already an intrepid traveler just like his parents.
