Broken Sea Turtle Eggs Found Along Florida Beach As Dorian Gets Closer

A couple walking along the sand in Juno Beach, Florida came across some possible casualties of Hurricane Dorian.

The pair found a pile of sea turtle eggs that appeared to be broken up on Monday, Sept. 2.

CBS 12's Sports Director John Evenson spoke to them as the wind and surf churned because of Hurricane Dorian.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center says if you find exposed nests and eggs on the beach, leave them alone. It's their best chance of survival if left untouched, the center said.
