Ariana Grande Apologizes to Kanye for Being Insensitive

Wheew Child, what a day it has been on celebrity Twitter. Most of us who immediately check social media in the morning were quite surprised to see that the Kanye Twitter rants continued, but this time with some new participants. To catch you up, the one and only "Blood on the Leaves" rapper let out a flurry of unfiltered tweets Thursday (December 13) lashing out at Champagne Papi after receiving a text asking for clearance to perform/use the song "Say What’s Real," a song originally by Kanye ("Say You Will") that was remixed by Drake in 2009. A multitude of messages ranging from demanding apologies to sharing positive vibes hit the timeline.

Although this weeks episode of the Drake / Kanye beef was mainly fueled by Kanye, Drake did seemingly respond to Kanye's twitter rant, simply putting "😂😂😂😂😂" on his Instagram Story.

Ariana Grande took the opportunity to ask that fans put aside the fact that men are arguing and focus their attention on her and Miley's new record that was dropping, "Imagine.

The "God is a woman" singer tweeted out: "guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y'all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that'd be so sick thank u."

Ari's message caught the eye of a few notable folks and even brought out Drake's baby mama who came to his defense! Once again - whew child.

Kanye wasn't having it and although he has love for Ari, he didn't appreciate the jab.

"All of this foolishness weighed on my mental health so @ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song," he wrote on Twitter early Saturday morning.

Shortly after, Ari agreed that her joke in that moment may have not been as funny as she thought.

"with all due respect, i don't need to use anyone to promote anything. period," she tweeted in her defense. "i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive."

She then followed up with her distaste for the internet and a call stop weaponizing mental health.
