JULY 11, 2018 - Twenty One Pilots have shared two new tracks â âJumpsuitâ & âNico And The Ninersâ â which are available today at all DSPs and streaming services. âJumpsuitâ is joined by an official music video, directed by longtime collaborator Andrew Donoho, streaming now on Twenty One Pilotsâ YouTube channel. Both tracks will appear on the bandâs anticipated new studio album. TRENCH â which follows the GRAMMY Award-winning duoâs 2015 LP, BLURRYFACE, which has sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide â will arrive everywhere October 5th via Fueled By Ramen, with more details to be revealed in the coming months.
Twenty One Pilots, the critically acclaimed duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, will celebrate TRENCH with âThe Bandito Tour,â a massive headline world tour set to get underway October 16th at Nashville, TNâs Bridgestone Arena. The tour will traverse the U.S. through the fall followed by dates in Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom (see attached itinerary). Registration for first access to tickets (via Verified Fan for North America) is now open and will run through 11:59PM ET on Sunday, July 15th. All remaining tickets will be released to the general public at 10:00 AM local time on Friday, July 20th. BLURRYFACE â which followed Twenty One Pilotsâ Fueled By Ramen debut album, 2013âs RIAA Platinum certified VESSEL â made a stunning chart debut upon its initial release, entering the SoundScan/Billboard 200 at #1. The album also achieved a milestone unrivaled in the digital era, becoming the first album in which every individual song on the album certified Gold, Platinum or multi-Platinum by the RIAA.
BLURRYFACE spawned a series of hit singles, beginning with the 2x RIAA platinum certified âTear In My Heartâ and followed by the #1 sensations, âRideâ and the 7x platinum certified, GRAMMYÂź Award-winning âStressed Out.â The latter track â which reached #2 on Billboardâs âHot 100â â spent three months at #1 at Modern Rock while also topping the charts at CHR/Top 40 and Hot AC. âStressed Outâ was a worldwide breakthrough for Twenty One Pilots, earning gold, platinum, and multi-platinum certifications in countries spanning Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The âStressed Outâ companion video was an equivalent success, now boasting close to 1.4 billion views at YouTube alone.
âRideâ spent five consecutive weeks atop the charts at Modern Rock radio outlets nationwide â the bandâs second #1 single at the format in 2016 â while also ascending to #5 on the overall âHot 100.â Another global smash, âRideâ is certified 4x platinum by the RIAA with additional platinum carts around the world. In addition, the trackâs companion video â directed by Reel Bear Media â has now garnered over 657 million views via Twenty One Pilotsâ hugely popular YouTube channel.
âRideâ was then followed by still another world-conquering hit single, âHeathens,â featured on Atlantic Recordsâ blockbuster SUICIDE SQUAD: THE ALBUM. The 6x RIAA platinum certified single â which received three GRAMMYÂź Award nominations including âBest Rock Performanceâ (Tyler Joseph, songwriter) â spent four consecutive weeks at #2 on the âHot 100â while also topping Billboardâs âHot Rock Songsâ for a record-shattering 28 consecutive weeks and counting. The unprecedented one-two punch of âRideâ and âHeathensâ made Billboard history, establishing Twenty One Pilots as only the third rock act with simultaneous top 5 âHot 100â singles in the chart's 58-year history, following only the Beatles and Elvis Presley.
âHeathensâ -- which hit #1 on the iTunes chart in over 60 countries â also rose to #5 in the United Kingdom and the top 10 in over 15 countries, with platinum and multi-platinum certification in Australia, Canada, Italy, and New Zealand. In addition, the âHeathensâ companion video received the 2016 MTV Video Music Award for âBest Rock Videoâ and has now earned more than 1 billion individual views via YouTube alone.
2017 saw the release of yet another BLURRYFACE hit in âHeavydirtysoul.â Like its predecessor, the RIAA platinum certified singleâs companion video received the 2017 MTV Video Music Award for âBest Rock Videoâ with views now exceeding 84 million via YouTube.
Twenty One Pilots received a number of major awards and nominations over recent years, with âStressed Outâ earning them the 2017 GRAMMYÂź Award for âBest Pop Duo/Group Performanceâ alongside four additional nods. Other honors include seven total Billboard Music Awards including 2016âs âTop Rock Artistâ and âTop Rock Albumâ (for BLURRYFACE) and 2017âs âChart Achievement Award,â âTop Duo/Group,â âTop Radio Songs Artist,â âTop Rock Artist,â and âTop Rock Songâ (for âHeathensâ); multiple Alternative Press Music Awards including âAlbum of the Year Presented By Journeysâ (for BLURRYFACE), âArtist of the Year Presented By Monster Energy,â and âMost Dedicated Fansâ; 2016 American Music Awards for âFavorite Alternative Artistâ and âFavorite Pop/Rock/Band/Duo/Groupâ; six iHeart Radio Music Awards (including âAlternative Rock Song of the Yearâ in both 2016 and 2017); 2016âs Kerrang! Award for âBest Fanbase,â and two MTV Europe Music Awards.
