100 Concerts In One Year #44 The Joey Tenuto Band

44th show of 2018 #Kelsi100Concerts

100 concerts in one year...the challenge is on! If you have no idea WTF I'm talking about, click here for the full scoop. By the end of last week I was super tired and a little down in the dumps. I figured the best way to wrap up my Friday was with a cold beer. I headed down to The Brewhouse Gallery over in Lake Park aka one of the best places for craft beers. If you haven't noticed I'm a big fan of sour beers & most places don't have them on tap. Brewhouse is one of the few places near me that does, so you know I'm always down to catch a show there. I have never seen The Joey Tenuto Band but heard these guys really knew how to wail on their guitars.

The two guitarist in the band are actually a father son duo! For the last 22 years Joey has been jamming out with his dad Joe all throughout South Florida. Apparently, they did their first gig together when Joey was just 6 years old! During the show I would notice Joe looking at his son with such pride. Almost like  "yeah that's my kid" kind of look.

I have to admit that it has been way too long since my last blues show. Maybe it was all the beer or maybe it was the way Joey made his guitar weep, all I know is I could feel the blues that night. If you're a fan of this style, definitely go check them out.

Below are some photos of The Joey Tenuto Band at The Brewhouse Gallery! On a side note, check out all that art on the stage. The one next to Joe's head is kind of creepy....

Check back and stalk this blog for a year of music and good stories. Remember, I have to average about 2-3 shows a week. You can follow all of my adventures on Instagram & Twitter @KelsiRadio! Well, until next  concert.....
