Police Officers Become Deejays on Miami Beach!

Well, you don't see this everyday! The Miami Beach Police Department came up with a new and innovative way to keep their beach safe and clean this spring break.

They enlisted two officers, Sergeant Luis Corps and Detective Chris Mitchell, to set up speakers and equipment in an old lifeguard shack and throw a party on the beach! These two officers were selected because of their experience deejay-ing on their own time. It's something they both enjoy doing and so far it has had a positive impact on the city.

In addition to spinning tracks, Miami Beach PD is also reminding spring breakers to clean up after themselves and leave coolers, tents, and alcohol behind. The city of Miami is assisting the officers with this cause by implementing the #KeepMBClean campaign.

So far, it appears to be working out well!

If you'd like to venture out to see the officers in their prime, they are posted at the lifeguard stand at Sixth Street of the beach on weekends from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

We'll have to get the WILD crew down there to check this out!
