4 Signs on Social Media That Your Relationship is DOOMED!

A couple may look lucky in love on social media, but-- sometimes-- sappy Instagram posts can mask an unraveling relationship.

An example of this is The Bachelor's Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins,  who recently ended their engagement. Two weeks ago, though, Higgins  posted Bushnell is "a light in this world," on Instagram. So what's up  with that?

Today’s Bela Gandhi came up with a  list of SMDA (social media displays of affection) that are sure signs a  relationship is on the fritz:

  1. Syrupy sweet posts.  Overtly affectionate social media posts that sound too good be true ("I  can't believe I found the one! I'm so head-over-heels in L-O-V-E with  you, Bugga Boo!") probably are too good to be true.
  2. Mismatched affection. She's clinging to his side while he appears unamused.
  3. Frequency of posts dramatically increases or decreases. The couple that seemingly never stops posting photos together on social media suddenly does, or the couple that never posts sappy Facebook status' suddenly posts 2-3 updates in one week.
  4. Constantly changing relationship status.  Their relationship status changes from "in a relationship" to "single"  to "in a relationship" to "single" to "in a relationship" in the span of  two weeks.
